Product Manager

Job description

Would you like to be part of the fastest growing technology start-up in the Australian logistics industry? If you are passionate about your craft and have an interest in shaping the digital products to drive our economy, Ofload is the place for you!

About us

Did you know there are 50,000 freight carriers in Australia? We connect this "long tail" of trucking capacity to Australia's largest shippers such as FMCG companies. We use technology to efficiently allocate supply and demand, and thereby eliminate the enormous waste in the industry. Every third truck on Australian roads today drives empty - imagine the environmental impact you can have!

About the opportunity

Our team is set to double in the new year and we are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for digital products; a creative, pragmatic problem solver with experience delivering clean, practical interfaces for web and/or mobile in an Agile environment.

Working with our awesome UX designer and Engineering team, you will be the first Product Manager in our team. You will be responsible for driving the ongoing delivery of our digital products end to end - for shippers, carriers and our own Operations team.

  • Define the product goals, milestones and success metrics
  • Own prioritisation of the product backlog and sprint planning
  • Facilitate ongoing collaboration between Ops, Sales and Tech
  • Work hand-in-hand with UX Design on delivery of best-in-class products
  • Write user stories and develop tickets for the Tech team as required
  • Undertake competitor research to stay at the forefront of the industry

Job requirements

We are open to a wide range of profiles, so as long as you meet the general theme of the below, we encourage you to apply!

  • 3-5 years as a Product Owner, Product Manager or Senior Business Analyst
  • Background can be from a start-up, corporate or consulting environment
  • Passion for innovation combined with a demonstrated ability to execute
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, facilitation and influencing skills
  • Equally comfortable in discussions with technical and business people
  • Adept at prioritising and cool as a cucumber on several concurrent projects
  • Analytical mindset and affinity for using data to achieve business outcomes
  • Interested in process improvement: optimising existing and defining new
  • Desire to learn, adapt and grow!

Bonus points for:

  • Experience related to logistics (but certainly not required)
  • Experience in any of operations, consulting, strategy, sales or pricing
  • Understanding of technology (software, data, systems, APIs, etc)

We look forward to hearing from you!
